Stearns County Accused Murderer Could See More Severe Charges

Officials in Stearns County say they plan to present evidence to a grand jury in the case against a man suspected of killing his grandparents last month in their Paynesville home. 33 year old Gregory Scheel faces two counts of second-degree intentional murder in connection with the deaths of 93 year old Wilbert and 80 year old Gloria Scheel. A grand jury could bring charges of first-degree murder, punishable by life in prison. Scheel remains in the Stearns County Jail on $3 million bail.
