Law School Hit By Declining Applications

The University of Minnesota School of Law says it has been hit by such a steep drop in student applications, that it can’t balance its budget without even more help from the rest of the university. The U has already given the law school almost $40 Million to cover budget shortfalls since 2012. In fact, now the subsidy has reached $7.5 million annually, and there is a proposal out there to bump it up to $12 million by 2020-21. The law school has seen its applications fall by more than half since 2010.
