SPIRIT RIDE FOCUSES ATTENTION ON MINNESOTA MOVE OVER LAW

Follow Minnesota’s “Move Over” law is the message as “Spirit Ride” advocates make their first sweep through Minnesota. They trucked a symbolic casket up I-35 from Albert Lea to Saint Paul yesterday and stop in Detroit Lakes and Twin Valley today. Experts say nationwide 70 percent of motorists don’t know about “Move Over” statutes. Minnesota passed its law after State Trooper Ted Foss was struck and killed by a semi in August of 2000 while conducting a traffic stop on I-90 near Rochester.
