Bemidji firefighters responded to a residential house fire early this morning on the 4000 block of 15th Street NW. The first calls about the fire began to come in just after 3am. Firefighters arrived on the scene to find flames already coming from the structure, and they were able to quickly contain and extinguish the fire which was concentrated mainly in a bedroom. Eleven firefighters used 1engine and two tenders. No injuries were reported. The fire department was on scene approximately 1 1/2 hours.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Bemidji Fire Department, but so far, they say they believe it was accidental in nature. The fire department was assisted at the scene by the Beltrami County Sheriff.
