FLAGS FLEW AT HALF STAFF TO HONOR FALLEN OFFICER

Flags statewide flew at half staff yesterday in honor and remembrance of Red Lake Conservation Officer Shannon Barron. Gov. Tim Walz ordered all United States flags and Minnesota flags to be flown at half-staff at all state and federal buildings in the State of Minnesota, from sunrise until sunset on Thursday, to honor Barron who died on duty when he suffered a medical emergency. Barron served 23 years with the Red Lake Department of Public Safety and leaves behind a wife and two children. His funeral was held yesterday afternoon at the Red Lake Humanities Building.
