Meelhause To Run For Bemidji Mayor’s Job

Michael Meehlhause, Bemidji City Council member representing Ward 1, has
announced he will be running for Mayor of Bemidji in the 2020 election. First elected to represent Ward 1 on the City Council in 2012, Meehlhause became the
youngest council member in Bemidji’s history. His inclination to serve and promote Bemidji has manifested itself in many ways: from his “Bemidji State of Mind” YouTube tribute to the city as a college student, to his involvement with organizations that promote healthy living, and his experience having served on the City Council for eight years. Meehlhause has called Bemidji home since 2007 and is a 2012 Bemidji State University graduate. He currently works as an Academic Advisor at TrekNorth High School and is the head coach of their Nordic Ski Team.
