The Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a motorcycle in the ditch and on fire on 129th Ave southwest of Park Rapids. Deputies and the Park Rapids Fire Department quickly responded, but when they got there, initially they were unable to locate the driver. The fire department put out the fully engulfed motorcycle. Investigators say the Harley Davidson was northbound when it hit a deer. The motorcycle tipped on its side and slid into the ditch where it caught on fire. There was evidence that the driver was injured but fled the scene. If anyone has any information, contact the Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office.
