TURNS OUT, IT WAS A TORNADO

IT’s now official… Acording to the experts, it was a tornado with 90 to 100 mph winds, that touched down in Bemidji. The National Weather Service in Grand Forks and Beltrami County Emergency Management conducted a damage assessment on Wednesday afternoon to confirm the strength of the storm. They now say it was an EF1 tornado that caused severe damage in the Bemidji area. Trees and power lines were downed, trees were on houses, cars, and roads. No injuries were reported. Wednesday’s tornado is the fourth significant severe weather incident to impact Beltrami County in the past six days.
